Purgos 2.6 Patch 3 (Build 141)

To upgrade to build 141 of Purgos 2.6 you need to uninstall any prior build and install build 141.

The thrid patch of Purgos 2.6 contains a number of bug fixes as well as a two feature sneaks. This patch includes a new security feature. Due to this new feature old consoles are not compatible with new servers and vise versa. Both the console and server will need to be updated to the latest version. Additionaly there was a change to support prompting the user before a remote control session was initiated. This change requires that any old versions of the remote control agent be removed.

Upgrading Purgos console and server
Any prior version of the Purgos software needs to be removed before installation of .141. Settings will be retained during the un-installation process.

Upgrading Remote Control agent
Upgrading the remote control agent is currently a semi-manual process. First the remote control agent must be removed from the machines menu. Once the remote control agent has been removed the next time an agent is controled the new version of the remote control agent will be installed. To determine if a computer has the current version of the remote control agent you can add a User defined column using the following query, Without the surrounding parentheses (SELECT Version FROM CIM_DataFile WHERE Path="\\Purgos\\" AND FileName="PurgosRC" AND DRIVE="C:")
